Writing in the Hindustan Times, Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Chair Rabi Lamichhane—currently visiting India at the invitation of the BJP President—calls on both nations to seize the historical opportunity presented by the upcoming March 2026 elections. He urges moving past "the anxieties of the last 30 years" to focus instead on "boundless possibilities."
Addressing bilateral tensions, Lamichhane writes that "border disputes must not drag on," and suggests resolving them "through a pragmatic, evidence-based dialogue rooted in historical facts and mutual understanding."
Furthermore, he stresses the critical need for robust economic collaboration. "We must connect economies, not just borders," he notes, outlining a vision for a Kathmandu-Bengaluru digital corridor, deep cooperation in IT and startup ecosystems, integrated digital payments, and utilizing Nepal’s green hydropower for India's industrial corridors.
