@dadsweb67 No mention of where the family is, but even in Tokyo a three-person family is eminently doable on that lower salary unless there are crazy international schools (or private schools and juku) involved, or unless there's some reason they really need to live in Hiroo or Azabu.
@SciTechera In related news, we can make a robot travel far faster than Usain Bolt so there's no reason to watch the Olympics any more? Fuck this artificial shit with no connection to human reality
@octal Uber is fucking trash and you can walk that distance in a quarter of the time you have, even fighting with an umbrella the whole way
Take the train and get out and walk if it breaks (which it won't)
@hizaga@haradatora When Kanto gets hit it will always be by rainfall, not typhoon winds. "Doesn't categorize as a hurricane" yeah, because it isn't even a typhoon at this point, and hurricanes are in the Atlantic. Still plenty wet!
@JasnTru@hizaga The storm itself blew across all of Kyushu and Shikoku and like half of Honshu before it got to Tokyo; it was destined to be mostly rain and little wind at this point.
@MZora0419 That's a great time but he's no longer U18, and both the U20 and seniors records are still faster. Looking forward to see what he does in the Olympics in years to come for sure, though!
