In this absolute bloodbath, there’s something that I think got lost in the noise: @Groowut got hired by Yuga.

I think this is massive news, and an incredibly smart move by both parties. Culture/IP coins are to me the wholesome and valuable positive evolution of memecoins.

I’ve wrote a thread about them that went viral and basically “birthed” the definition: Pengu and Anime are the big brothers, sitting at the intersection of Art, memeability and IP development with movies, toys, collectible card games and entire new platforms on the horizon.

Yuga already has $ape as the fuel of it’s chain, and aligning with what has been the most inspiring and pervasive new IP of this new wave is incredibly smart. Instead of creating redundancy they align with a battle hardened and beloved community and brand.

The artist brings his expertise and creative vision, and gets access to the biggest powerhouse in web3 to bring his vision to life.

Just been sitting back watching and observing over the last few days

Most won’t even make it past this part of the tweet with the type of attention span this space has now, but I’ll continue on anyway

I think many here, including big names, have lost the plot, and need to go take a breather

This space is not all about memecoins, or at least wasn’t every cycles past that I’ve been here

We need to get back to our roots

Bitcoin is literally above $90,000 and people are calling this the end

Listen, memecoins are a gamble, and although the high of wins is great, the lows of losses should be a reality check not a cue to dump your last dollars into the next

We need to get back to the foundation this space was built on

Quality, community, builders, etc.
