@EricLDaugh I almost had to laugh at this. How many times have ALL federal law enforcement went without paychecks because both sides can't do one of the few real jobs they have in DC. Coming up with a budget is one of their main jobs but they need to have an inquiry into everything instead.

@nicksortor If he had a tourist visa that expires that makes you deportable. You can't over stay a visitor visa and apply for a work visa. Not allowed. You don't have to go home but you can't stay here. An employer has to petition USCIS for you to be approved for a work visa.

Because you can't file for a work permit while on a tourist visa. The process is that he must have been sponsored and that prospective employer.
