It had long since come to my attention that people of accomplishment rarely sat back and let things happen to them. They went out and happened to things.
You might be in a painful situation, I know. But, like everything in life, it is also temporary. So always keep that in mind.
This ending is a whole new beginning for the rest of your life.
Just because something didn’t work out right now doesn’t mean it never will—keep the faith, if you can. There are so many parts of you to celebrate, even if you can’t see it right now. You’ve always been a beacon of light in dark times.
This too shall pass.
There is no right or wrong way to grieve. There is no timeline, either. There is often no benefit to placing blame — what we all should do now is to move forward? Healing is the long game. It’s a long process, and it’s okay to take your time.
If you’re not stubborn, you’ll give up on experiments too soon. And if you’re not flexible, you’ll pound your head against the wall and you won’t see a different solution to a problem you’re trying to solve.
If it doesn’t challenge you, it won’t change you. Every champion was once a contender that refused to give up. I may win and I may lose, but I will never be defeated. You just can’t beat the person who never gives up.
