After last week, I gather I need a break from SM
One last thought -
The system might not change, tbh even the votes might not change but personally, I saw a glimpse of how beautiful some country could be, even if for a fleeting moment & that brings me hope, against all odds
Saurav Das is around 26 years old, Abhijeet and Ashutosh around 30 years old. All of them have shown exemplary leadership qualities and led into something the whole opposition couldn’t do in the last 12 years.
It’s time to pass the baton from these 70+ old budhhas and give this young gun generation chance to run the country. I am sure they will do a much better job than these nationalist sanghis.
Some late observations:
1. Students love a good fight. Esp. when it’s unfair and they are the underdogs. Plus they love community - a highly valuable state of mind available to the modern human only for a few years of youth. No money can buy those hormones.
2. Sense of humour is a great weapon against fanatics. It disarms the opponent and heals the oppressed. And most importantly, gets you Instagram views.
3. Father figures, constantly telling a nation what to eat, who to marry, who not to love etc, are easy to dislike and unite against.
4. Mainstream media committed a mass-sepukku by agreeing to peddle just the govt. narrative over the last decade. So much so that on most policy issues, they are more conservative and bigoted than the government itself.
It did two beautiful things - one, a big chunk of population started switching off, and two, the government itself ended up dumping them in the end, by negotiating with genuine protests already labelled as aatankwaadi by the news TV. On most occasions they make govt’s job more difficult than easy.
Today - watching news TV is seen as one of the most uncool, low IQ things by a majority of the population.
5. Cuss words are no longer the underground culture they were a decade ago. (Even Gangs of Wasseypur was like 14 years ago.)
Access to international rap, desi hip hop, more than 100 Indian comedians not censoring their language, even when they censor their thoughts, and in some cases political patronage to the cuss-heavy influencers have made sure that the language on the street is no more purist/sanitised. The more it shocks the authority figures, the more it will be used.
6. An aura - carefully built over a decade - took a fortnight to burst into smithereens. That’s how flimsy it was.
I have a very small account & barely any followers. After watching the scenes from CJP protest, I have newfound hope that we still have some people who are really to take a stand for justice & equality.
I wish to connect with such people.
I will follow back every person who..
..stands against hatred, oligarchy & suppression of freedom irrespective of party politics, religion & or any other man made divison.
If adherence to a party or person comes first for you, this post isn't for you.
I'm not doing this for payouts(I WILL REMAIN UNVERIFIED)..
@Swain93588 @marlboroadvvv Gully boy just used an already existing track, by dub sharma.
Infact they diluted it by removing Kanhaiya Kumar's iconic voice
@Invictus0903 Bhai can we not all fund his education if he wants to?
It's never too late, atleast I believe so.
Bina padhe likhe itna acha bolta hai.
Padh likh kar toh sabhi neta log ko piche chhod dega.
@mssakshinarula It's a blot on our education system that this man couldn't get the education he deserved.
Without it he's soooo well spoken, can't even imagine what could've been.
That said, I'm sure he can still pursue studies if he wants.
People would be willing to fund this man I'm sure.
@Vtxt21 As satisfying as this is, I find it hard to trust anyone BJP associated.
Kya pata is minister ka hi fail safe ho in case BJP gets fucked over next elections, apni beti ko utar skta hai
Or maybe I'm being too cynical 🤔
@Trendulkar Unko bolo Amazon/blinkit par daal de
Will sell like hot cakes
Also ask them to add ? At the end to escape accountability just like this dalli media
You will see 0 revolutions:-
1) When Rupee falls to 200, you will lose your existing wealth.
2) When adulterated petrol damages your car, you will still pay EMIs. But, can't use your car.
3) When Home Loan rates are silently jacked up, you will pay more EMIs. And, it will destroy household budget.
4) When wage growth rate << inflation growth rate, your income won't grow
5) When AI eats more jobs, labour will be displaced. And, India will become #1 nation on job displacements.
None of these things will create a revolution.
But, these will silently bankrupt you.
Hrithik Roshan will always have my respect for being the first superstar to speak up on the student protest and support #SonamWangchuk openly, that too without sugar-coating his words or asking us not to politicise the issue like other celebs. True hero. Love. ❤️
