Roger Schmitz officiated our game against Northwest Missouri just a few months ago on February 7th. Before the game we embraced and he told me, “The treatments are not working anymore. I am at peace, God is good, and I love you, coach.”
A few minutes later the ball was tipped and Roger and his officiating crew ran with incredible athletes all night long in front of 1,922 fans in attendance at White Auditorium in Emporia, Kansas. Roger was battling stage 4 cancer as he had the previous two years and gave everything he had for the game, the student-athletes, and his fellow officials. He did an incredible job!
We discussed Roger’s diagnosis, prognosis and battle with our players. Roger taught us all how to love and how to choose life while putting God, family and friends at the front of everything. Roger was an active participant in life despite the dire circumstances as he continued to do what he loved.
When it comes to toughness, faithfulness, professionalism, leading by example, and serving others, Roger was in a class of his own. We are praying for his family, friends, and everyone he impacted as he is laid to rest.

#KC46 hat trick! ✈️✈️✈️
We delivered three Pegasus aircraft today to the U.S. Air Force. @JointBaseMDL received its 15th and 16th KC-46s, and @Travis60AMW received its third. That's three tankers built in the U.S. and positioned coast to coast.
More #KC46 tankers are on the way! Thank you, @USAirForce, for a contract to deliver 15 additional KC-46A Pegasus aircraft.

One thing I am most proud of with Never Finished is that the knowledge you will gain from this book isn’t some cookie cutter knowledge. This is real knowledge that you can not get from some brainstorming sessions. This knowledge comes only from living in the grip of life.
You need to get to the point in your life where you no longer look at failure as failure rather see it merely as an attempt!
Remember this- the valiant motherfucker always wins even when the world around you may see you “failing.”
Stay hard!
