@Adityapandeydev The ThinkPad T30.
Small, light, indestructible, had an illuminated keyboard (front light, but still), 2 multi bays, one for a second battery, and one for a third battery *OR* an optical drive *OR* a ZIP 100 *OR* a second HD *OR* a third battery!
@ZacksJerryRig@Rivian Isn't there some law regarding our 'right to repair'? I mean, at one point auto manufacturers counted on owners doing maintenance. That is why owners manuals in the 60's usually included timing and valve clearance data, *and* how to correct those!
@hackaday Working in IT, the "*ksshhh* psshhHHH--bwee-dee-dee-DEE!
krkrkrk--SQUEEEee-brrrRRTZZT!
BONG-bong⦠BONG-bong!
krrrRR-BEEP-bweee-chkchk-DZZZT!
brr-keeowww-pshhh" sounds are, even today, the best (or worst) sounds ever!
@MuseumCommodore I miss my brown breadbin C64! I do still *hopefully* have my C64 in a Vic20 case. It is a very early C64 - it has a serial number placing it in the first 1,000 made.
@StephenKing I had a mostly complete collection of your paperback releases, but lost it in a house fire a few years ago.
Currently living in Indiana, I am finding things banned way too often.
What will be banned next, Romeo and Juliet?
@davepl1968 the M7740 LESI controller is usually used to connect with 9 track drives like the TU81 and the 12" optical drive known as the RV20...
I can't find much else in my DEC references here...
@davepl1968 If you were 2, her representation of the danger was creative, and you remembered it. When my son was around that age, he wanted to mess around with plugging things in and unplugging things. He wanted to know *why* he shouldn't. His mom told him that some parts were *hot*...
@davepl1968 I'm not much of a fan of either, but I'm more with Elon on this one. Might Elon be having a bit of a meltdown? Absolutely, but what he is saying makes sense. Elon, untill his involvement with Trump wasn't afraid to speak up. I think the old Elon is back, and that is def good!
@PcPhilanthropy I had one that had 14 ultra320 SCSI drives in it. i believe they were 15k rpm drives, as they came out of a video editing system from the late 90s... That system was **loud**!
Hey @Apple, I posted a couple weeks ago about my love of my accidental Amazon gift of AirPods Pro 2.
Just one issue - one of the black mesh bits came off. Is there anything I can do to get it repaired or replaced?
@midwestern_ope I've accidentally taken that exit (more than once)! If you explain what happened at the border they are usually somewhat understanding. Especially the Canadian border - they are like extra friendly Midwesterners... Or are we less friendly Canadians? Either way...
Well @Apple, the Apple AirPods Pro 2 have withstood my abuse for a weekend now.
As someone on the spectrum, they are a godsend. The noise cancelling function is *perfect*
