OT scholars trying to define “hesed”: God is “Never gonna give you up, never gonna let you down, never gonna run around and desert you.
Never gonna make you cry, never gonna say goodbye, never gonna tell a lie and hurt you.”

@winzenj@AndrewRillera @MattThiessenNT Just came here to add that Schaser's work is an excellent example of a post-supersessionist reading, carefully navigating the HB and 2T texts. It's good. I think it pushes the conversations about sacrifice/atonement to greater precision.
Finally got my copy of my new book on Galatians published by Cascade (@wipfandstock) in the Cascade Companions series—Reading Galatians!
It’s a short/accessible intro to Galatians that anyone can read and enjoy!
The book is $25; here’s a direct link: https://t.co/AaesT4Ggbh
@JJ_Denhollander@JoshuaTorrey It’s not really accurate, though, because really he’s just creating these offensive opportunities, not necessarily getting points on them.
@winzenj@jasonstaples@mikeywaters3@jmyers1018@dburnett51 @APhillipsWilson As someone who’s sympathetic to PwJ— it’s hard to perceive well trodden texts and decade old arguments as progress. I’d love more variety in voices and more engagement with the broader guild.
