24-year-old Jordan Barrett was diagnosed with stomach cancer last year requiring doctors to remove his entire stomach.
After thinking the cancer had been eradicated, it returned, much worse than before.
Throughout the cancer process, Barrett reconnected with his childhood friend Mikayla Thomas who he had known since diapers.
The pair fell in love and got married.
"[Doctors] confirmed last week that we will be moving into palliative care with an anticipated timeline of 6 weeks until the progression has a large effect on me day to day, and 4 months until the cancer wins…" Barrett said in March on his GoFundMe.
