@futurebird Agree with many comments above. These books are masterpieces. They focus on the mathematical analysis of algorithms to great depth. For general questions on programming, they would not serve well though.

@davidwees Depends on ‘reasonable’. In the original case, the chance of the event occurring at least once in 20 trials = 1 -(5/6)^20 = 97.4%. To take it further, if after 25 trials u don’t see the event, there is a 99% chance you have eliminated it. Am I right ? 🙂
