As we celebrate Dominion Day today, let us remember never to give up on our country, no matter how dark the times may seem.

We are a country born out of the rivalry between two of the greatest empires and civilizations the world has known - the French and the British. Yet from that struggle emerged a remarkable nation: a new Angevin Empire, built upon Old World values in a New World setting.

Up until recently, Canada's greatness was more readily apparent than it is today. Nevertheless, I urge all my Canadian subscribers never to lose hope. History is full of nations that have staged far greater comebacks than ours may yet require (just look at Spain). Despite decades of ideological conditioning, foreign influence, and mass immigration­, the traditional Canadian spirit - rooted in respect for tradition and opposition to liberal and revolutionary Enlightenment ideals - still endures, lying dormant beneath the surface. As more Canadians rediscover our roots, a shift away from the prevailing individualistic liberal ethos and back toward traditional Anglo-Canadian High Tory, French Canadian traditionalist, and broader Old World principles may come far more quickly than many expect, just as the sweeping cultural and political transformations of the late twentieth century unfolded with remarkable speed.

There is reason to have hope: Many younger Canadians these days are rediscovering their heritage, a heritage that in many respects was stolen from them. I encourage all my Canadian subscribers to become involved in the renewal of our country, whether by supporting nationalist organizations such as the @DominionSoc, making their voices heard in Canadian politics, serving their local communities, or becoming active members of a local Catholic church, helping to pass on the European and Christian values that helped build this nation.

Each of us has a role to play in preserving and renewing Canada. I hope that, through my Canadian patriotic song videos, I have been able to make a small contribution to the revival of Canadian identity and patriotism. "Whatever you do, adhere to the union. Le Canada est un pays né de la rivalité entre deux des plus grands empires et des plus grandes civilisations que le monde ait connus : la France et la Grande-Bretagne. Pourtant, de cette lutte est née un pays remarquable : un nouvel Empire angevin, fondé sur les valeurs de l'Ancien Monde dans le cadre du Nouveau Monde.

Jusqu'à récemment, la grandeur du Canada (y compris le Canada-français) était plus évidente qu'elle l'est aujourd'hui. Néanmoins, j'exhorte tous mes abonnés canadiens à ne jamais perdre espoir. L'histoire est remplie de nations qui ont accompli des remontées bien plus impressionnantes que celui dont le Canada pourrait avoir besoin (il suffit de penser à l'Espagne). Dans les circonstances actuelles, il est nécessaire de nouer des alliances avec des groupes partageant des convictions similaires, tant que des objectifs communs nous unissent et que l'existence de nos peuples en dépend.

Chacun peut également contribuer en faisant entendre sa voix dans la vie politique canadienne ou québécoise, en servant sa communauté locale ou en devenant un membre actif d'une église catholique locale. L'essentiel est de participer à la transmission des valeurs européennes et chrétiennes qui ont contribué à façonner le Canada-français, et tout le Canada.

Chacun de nous a un rôle à jouer dans la préservation et le renouveau du Canada-français, ainsi que du Canada dans son ensemble. J'espère qu'à travers mes vidéos de chants patriotiques canadiens, j'ai pu, à ma manière, apporter une modeste contribution au renouveau de l'identité nationale et du patriotisme, tant canadien que canadien-français.
