“One does not wish, in short, to be told by an American Jew that his suffering is as great as the American Negro's suffering. It isn't, and one knows that it isn't from the very tone in which he assures you that it is.”

There should be an international “day of mourning” for all your internet friends that just up and left and you never heard from again. You should get the day off work for it too.

Today, on the 10th day of Muharram, we are reminded of Imam Hussain's unwavering commitment to truth and dignity. His timeless legacy reminds us of the enduring values of faith, service to one another, and the belief that justice is always worth fighting for.
Our City’s strength comes from the many faith traditions that shape it — and our shared struggle against injustice and oppression.

Contrary to Hanegbi's claims, Iran's behavior has nothing to do with ancient convictions (Shi'ism emphasizes extreme caution and care in outright conflict when you don't have an upper hand).
Rather it is a quite natural response be Israel's behavior.
Everything post October 7th has taught Iranian leadership that caution in the response to Israeli advances will just embolden them to go even further. And that pragmatist, limited reactions lead to the enemy smelling weakness.
Caution in the face of Israel's attack on Hezbollah in the Fall of 2024 emboldened them to directly attack Iran the next summer.
Limiting the response to Israel and accepting a ceasefire at the first opportunity led Israel and Trump to be even more emboldened for a more extreme assault 9 months later.
Israel has taught the IRGC & Iranian leadership in no uncertain terms that holding back will mean annihilation.
In contrast to this, the response post the start of the current war of aggression against Iran - a madman strategy of setting the entire region on fire and closing the Strait of Hormoz - has yielded significant payoffs.
Being as difficult as possible to deal with and making things tough for Trump are very very intentional. Had they done this last summer then there would not have been a new war now.
And so now, contrary to previous rounds, there aren't multiple weeks of hesitation after something happens. After the first incident, if the US hits Bandar Abbas, they shoot at Kuwait. If Israel crosses the Lebanon red line then they will hit back hours later.
Failing to do so will, in their eyes, only mean the enemy will be able to prepare for the next strike and hit on their own terms more powerfully. If this leads to war (which they do not think it will) then so be it because war would come regardless.
Jillian Segal:
"I've totally distanced myself from the Executive Council of Australian Jewry."
Shoebridge:
"Who are those guys sitting at desk on either side of you?"
Segal:
"Education experts from the ECAJ here to help transform Australian school kids"
That's what she said
But obviously and of course the outrage this post is generating isn’t about the harm caused to autistic kids.
It’s about the “fraud” because “too many people are claiming to be autistic”.
God fuck these people, honestly.
