One of my effective tricks for enhancing focus and productivity is:

Do not always code in your fancy office, take your laptop elsewhere for a couple of hours.

This even improves my creativity.

I added the small TTS button that is one the biggest tiniest features I ever added. What do you think?
Also added the RevenueCat user Id to the Settings so I can grant testers a lifetime subscription without any need for a login system. Too shabby? 🤔

Finally created a Google Group for my beta testers!
It’s been terrible. I finally adopted this strategy.

Here are my #digitalDetox ideas 👇
- No WC phone. Do your business in peace.
- No inertial endless scrolling/procrastination. Think before doing that, why are you doing? What could you do instead? Why not getting out to the garden?
- No >21:30 phone (my bedtime is 22:30-23:15)

One day before my birthday feels like a good time to restart the solopreneur adventure. I gave myself 30 days to ship my beta app publicly, publish the first beta of the second one, and finish Workout's internal tool. Ambitious, yes, but over the last months everything feels sharper.

i saw one of the craziest building in public stories on tt.

a founder posted a video about an app idea for meal planning on a budget.

the app didn’t even exist yet.

the video got 10m+ views.

great validation, right?

not exactly.

while he was building it, someone copied the idea, rushed an app into the app store and started taking users.

same concept.
same branding.

the copy got terrible reviews because it was full of bugs.

and now the original founder is dealing with people thinking that broken app is his.

building in public is great until your validation becomes someone else’s roadmap.

with how fast people can ship apps now, i’m not sure i’d share an idea publicly before having at least a landing page or a product live.

the game has changed.
