@Stockwell_Day @carolemacneil Ironically, they added more rural area to the riding, it grew by 30% in area, mostly rural population to the west of Ottawa from what was the Renfrew-Pembroke riding. Areas that are more solidly blue leaning... if anything they added Con voters not Liberal ones.

@SjamieIt @GordMillar And even if it was built, its not helping intra-suburb transit, bus service has been cut there as well, its really just for commuters to get DT and back home. We'd be better off spending that money refining transit within greenbelt TBH.

@SjamieIt @GordMillar Look where it has already been spent. Phase 3 of LRT is in the 2014 transportation master plan, which this report uses to inform its 2031 analysis but its clear Phase 3 has been put on hold as their is no appetite for higher levels of govt to fund it.

@SjamieIt @GordMillar Doesn't serve them well. Both sides should be angry. Not that sprawl isn't bad, and increasing public transit shouldn't be encouraged, but from a pure CBA, DCs help neither (assuming your avg. suburbanite wants roads and your avg urbanite doesn't...)

@SjamieIt @GordMillar The biggest line item is public transit, though roads is 2nd... transit is considered a city-wide good, and key to keeping VTK to 0 in the core... flipping it to a suburban pers. most of their DC $ are going to transit, which they largely don't use as it does serve them well.

Any word on a replacement for the 819lmb homekit bridge. I need homekit and especially carplay support as using your phone for the myq app is illegal but i got a perfectly good carplay head unit

@TheAgenda @saraynet Excellent work @saraynet but brief-ish it wasn't. Rather, it was a well-sourced, comprehensive timeline of this debacle. Other than the pilot that used existing track, modern Ottawa does not have a good track record with trains. Why is transit so hard to get right?

Climate change thanks you. Rather shop locally in my hood and keep the walkable stores I have here viable than downtown stores, the pandemic has revitalized my hood.

@yyzsportsmedia @BlueJays Its almost tolerable when its Dan and Buck, but not so with Pat and Buck. Dan does an alright job describing the play most of the time but in both cases there is not nearly enough recaping the count, the score, etc. Sometimes 3 or 4 pitches in until you get a count on a batter!

@Netflixhelps Love the deep integration between @Google and @Netflix just announced for the new GoogleTV device, maybe you can show a little love to @Apple TV and integrate with the TV App on tvOS that you've long ignored as its basically the same functionality as this.

Its ironic that Beiber and The Weeknd got their start/notice by posting videoes on US site youtube and not from the Canadian music industry. money (for artist) is in touring.

@SeanCBeat @TheAgenda @spaikin Apple Music started charging sales tax on their subscriptions and itunes rentals on January 1. Prior to this they did not. Curiously they've always charged sales tax on itunes purchases (apps, movies, music). Netflix and spotify do not. Amazon Prime does. Crave does.

@jabrasupport Is it possible to turn off or control the 2 device simultaneous connection feature? it works great but when im on the treadmill with phone in the basement i get notified a 2nd device is connected/disconnected repeatedly when its just out of range (likely my ipad)
