We urge Cuban Diversity Visa Winners to reach out to their friends and family in the US particularly Florida and urge them to reach out to their lawmakers and urge them to support a legislative solution offering relief to DV 2020/21 who lost out on Greencards due to COVID.
Diversity Visa Winners from South America who lost out in 2020 due to the immigrant visa ban and COVID. You have more power than you think. There are very large populations from your communities in Florida, Texas and Arizona amongst other states. Reach out to your communities!

Let’s take a look (THREAD): https://t.co/2QaZnboole
as many #Dv2020 and #DV2021 visas as they wish. Nothing in the INA takes that power out of their hands.
Let's hope that Biden Admin and DOS will take this to heart and re-open #DV2020 and #DV2021 and issue all 55K even if it is over a periods of years.
But the one real silver lining in this otherwise very disappointing decision is that the 7th circuit chopped DOS's lamenting how they can't do anything after the end of the year into pieces, by telling them that 1154 can be waived or forfeited, meaning if they want they can issue
The #Biden State Department explains why it wants to trash green cards authorized by Congress that it was supposed to issue and then illegally chose not to issue. https://t.co/aI9sJRpuox
With the passage of this bill, nearly 380,000 unused visas would be reclaimed, and individuals would be able to apply for adjustment of status earlier Thanks @RepZoeLofgren#ImmigrationMatters@AILANational
The framework for allocating immigrant visas was last updated in 1990 w/limitations that have led to backlogs unimaginable at the time.

Diversity lottery winners from previous years 2017 - 2021 who were affected with trump administration proclamations believe you REALLY want to fix legal immigration backlogs.
Kindly include us in the upcoming immigration bipartisan bill and save our dreams 🇺🇸
@PabloReports@CuniMikel Pablo hermano please ask/push them about the recapture of #DV2020#DV2021 visas, in a way you are one of the only voices we have left in Congress 🙏 thank you.
@RepJudyChu, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your humanity and recognition of the pain of Diversity Visa Winners of prior years denied the opportunity of a visa interview and effort to try find a solution.

From @zaidaldin, In the Yemeni conversation yesterday with a member of the House of Representatives, Espaillat,
.. Espaillat said about The issue of the losing winners of the lottery program in the Trump years and beyond..(1/2)
Immigrants who won legal entry to the U.S. had their hopes dashed by Trump’s Muslim ban. Immigration lawyers have spent countless hours and large sums lobbying Congress for diversity visa backlog relief, but to no avail. (Reporting by @PabloReports)
