Personal account.
Opinions are just the cat walking over my keyboard.
consumers pay 20$/month and don't care about frontier performance
enterprise pay $40T/year for intelligence (knowledge work), and really care about frontier performance
focusing on consumer is a mistake and anti-agi pilled
Unpopular opinion, but Google doesn't need the best model, much less the best coding model. Gemini just has to be good enough to power the app ecosystem for the casual user.
@matt503ea5sf9z5 Can't, I work in biology. It's worse than GPT2 for me. And I have a yearly subscription because I believed they would keep releasing useful models. See why I'm a bit miffed?
@PhilShteuck@zandpreme@owl_posting Sure, I started with this. The hardware is just the RTX3090 in an older PC rig, 32GB RAM and Ryzen 5 5600X. Nothing special. https://t.co/11aBlLqKoG
yep, here's the full stack:
-ngl 99 -c 262144 -np 1 -fa on --cache-type-k q4_0 --cache-type-v q4_0 --port 8080 --host 0.0.0.0
model: unsloth/Qwen3.6-27B-GGUF Q4_K_M, hermes agent as harness pointing at http://localhost:8080/v1, canonical prompt at https://t.co/rajYkRwo2e. tell me how yours lands.
@zandpreme@owl_posting Of course I had the rest of the PC, so it wasn't a terribly expensive upgrade, plus is use it for some protein models and of course gaming.
And I wouldn't have bought it, but my wife got it for me for my birthday as a surprise xD
