1/ On How Short Life Is
A few years ago, I was walking around in a blizzard in SoHo (New York). It was late, midnight, and it was beautiful.
Some friends, about 15 blocks away, called: "come over?"
It was late, it was cold, was tired, thought "maybe not worth it" but then...
my brand of self-help tends to be "ohhhh devin's life is looking pretty interesting right now... let's start throwing words onto a page until it's not complete wingdings"
TLDR; i write about fulfillment and jägerbombs

high career match = high work from home satisfaction and ask for continuity of current state
lower career match = higher likelihood to shift post-return to office, or will return to office sooner
It will be fascinating to watch what % of the workforce (esp. in tech) shifts companies / careers over the next 6 months as people return to the office
Being remote, the only thing you have is "the work" and there is nothing to hint otherwise (music, friends, conversation)
when in fact, people have just been forced to spend time self diagnosing how truly compatible they are with their current station. a large workforce shift could in fact be completely healthy and have 0 to do companies themselves
