The US government, citing national security authorities, has issued an export control directive to suspend all access to Fable 5 and Mythos 5 by any foreign national, whether inside or outside the United States, including foreign national Anthropic employees.

The net effect of this order is that we must abruptly disable Fable 5 and Mythos 5 for all our customers to ensure compliance.

Access to all other Claude models is not affected.

We apologize for this disruption to our customers. We believe this is a misunderstanding and are working to restore access as soon as possible.

We invested in all of these (see link for a short list) at idea stage with nothing much there and we built the first institutional scale pre-seed fund in India to invest early: (1) pre-product most of the time (2) pre-revenue all the time (3) plenty of no pedigree (4) multiple women and husband-wife teams (5) laser focus on market-first investing and wrote pre-consensus checks in neobanks and fintech infra in 2018 all the way to vertical quick commerce and voice AI more recently when there was little to no proof whatsoever.

I understand the sentiment in the post here but there are multiple VCs in India who don't fit what is described here.
