It was a sad way for anyone to end their life, esp those in service. My Dad had already put in over 22 years teaching at various Government Technical Colleges and the state education ministry, yet the state can not give him N40k in credit for his life.

It was happy children's day like that for everyone 21 years ago, but it was sad a day my father, Rasheed 54 gave up the ghost after 3 days at the hospital, following a ruptured spline from an auto accident.

We would later use the money to prepare his burial. Nigeria government and the poor health systems has made many children orphans or lost one of their parents. I am sure I would be happy paying for his survival, if I had to all my working life. N40K could have saved him..
