In 2020, Son Heung-min's stunning solo goal against Burnley won the Puskás Award, becoming the 12th goal to claim the honor.
A brilliant run from his own half, beating multiple defenders before a composed finish. Pure magic.🪄
🚨Benjamin Šeško on His Ambitions for Next Season
🗣️Reporter:
Benjamin, a new season is approaching. What are your personal and team ambitions?
🚨Benjamin Šeško:
First of all, my biggest ambition is for the team to be successful. Football is a team sport, and when the team performs well, individual achievements usually follow. My focus is on helping the club compete for every trophy available. We want to challenge for the Premier League, go as far as possible in the Champions League, and fight to win every competition we’re involved in. That’s the mentality we need.
🗣️Reporter:
Many fans are already talking about you winning the Golden Boot. Is that a target for you?
🗣️Šeško:
Of course, every striker wants to score goals. If I said otherwise, I wouldn’t be honest. The Golden Boot is something any forward would be proud to win. But if you ask me what matters most, it’s the team lifting trophies. If I score 30 goals and we win the Premier League or the Champions League, that’s much more important to me than any individual award.
🗣️Reporter:
So winning major trophies is your priority?
🗣️Šeško:
Absolutely. I want us to be the best team in England and one of the best teams in Europe. Winning the Premier League would be incredible because it’s one of the hardest leagues in the world. Winning the Champions League is every player’s dream. Those are the targets that motivate me every day in training.
🗣️Reporter:
Do you feel ready for that level of expectation?
🗣️Šeško:
Pressure is part of football at the highest level. I see it as a privilege. When you play for a big club, expectations are always there. I enjoy that responsibility because it means people believe in you. My job is to work hard, improve every day, and help my teammates achieve our goals.
🗣️Reporter:
what message would you give the fans ahead of the new season?
🗣️Šeško:
I can promise them that we’ll give everything. We want to make them proud. Personally, I want to score goals, create memories, and help bring trophies back to the club. If we can win the Premier League, compete for the Champions League, and I can contribute with goals, then it will be a special season. But team success will always come first. We’re building something strong, and I believe exciting times are ahead.
