@JacobsFieldRBW Manzardo must not count? But I forgot he isn’t nearly as good as what Yandy was at Manzo’s age. Might as well just give up on him at this point and trade.
@JacobsFieldRBW I think the fact they are all stars points to the mediocrity in the AL. All star caliber is probably closer to 4 WAR. Yes $34 mil for 6 homers and 16 RBI… and he’s been trending in the wrong direction for 5 years. He’s over paid. I’d say we got lucky and didn’t sign him.
@JacobsFieldRBW Yandy Diaz - Avg WAR per season 3.3
Ernie Clement - Avg WAR per season 2.8
Lindor - Avg WAR per season 5.7
Lindor isn’t a miss - they couldn’t afford him
Yandy and Ernie are average or slightly above average- they aren’t great or elite
@JacobsFieldRBW We have young guys now you constantly are wanting to get rid of (example Manzo). He is in his 2nd full season. They give him a chance and you criticize leadership. What is it that you want them to do? If they give up on them and they become decent players, then what?
@gleybertorresfc@PapaD1113 BA is a pointless stat by the way. Jazz has .5 WAR vs 1.9 WAR for Jose and Jazz has a 13 WAR lifetime and Jose 59.6 WAR lifetime. To compare these two BA’s is pointless. Jazz is playing on par with his career and Jose subpar for career and still significant better. Move one.
@ToOctober46090 And he is 25 which is even better. Feels like he’s been around forever. Good to see him at a point where he is playing consistently well.
@Castellani2014 I’m a guardians fan still watching. If your tank is empty you’ve got problems. I WANT to go to sleep but can’t. If I’m you, my tank is full. Go mariners!
@CovertheCorner Agree, I do think it’s a bad look for tigers players and not necessarily the best gamesmanship. It’s not as if the players themselves in Cleveland have been bringing up the huge lead the tigers lost, it’s the media.
Why they keep bringing it up in interviews is odd.
