Our first hackathon in London is done, and what a day!
We’re Dwelly, building the AI operating system for residential lettings in the UK. Our AI handles the calls and messages between agents, landlords, tenants and contractors, and it runs over 15,000 properties, which makes us a top-10 agency in the UK. Running AI in the real world is messy: documents go missing, tenants get upset, plumbers don’t pick up the phone.
So on Saturday we invited builders to take on that kind of mess. 27 teams and 75 builders spent the day in London building AI agents for insurance claims, property management, banking and logistics, together with @Anthropic, @elevenlabsio, @GeneralCatalyst and @EQTGroup.
Congratulations to all the winners, and thank you to every team that spent the whole day building with us.
Photos from the day are in the first reply. Stay tuned for future events!
We planned for 20 teams, 27 showed up.
424 people registered for our agentic AI hackathon in London, 75 made it into the room, and over 300 stayed on the waitlist.
The room was really strong - engineers from xAI, Mistral, Revolut, Wise, Meta and Salesforce, plus more than a dozen founders and CTOs building their own startups.
Winners:
People's Choice: Silly Hamster
Best Voice Agent and Best Exception Handling: Gingerbreadking
Best Engineering: Properly
Best Real World Agent: Monopoly
Congratulations to everyone. Every solution will be published open source, so you will be able to read the code soon.
Thank you to everyone who gave up a Saturday to build with us. Thanks to our judges Alexander Kitsberg, @ZeynepYWillson , David Dowdall and Ayrat Maksyutov for the careful reviews and honest feedback. Thanks also to @AnthropicAI, @ElevenLabs, @generalcatalyst and @eqt for backing the event, and to the @dwelly_group team for making the day happen.
