@TW_GovNL 2/2 Using Cart promotes sustainable rural living and creates jobs where needed most, nothing against foreign workers, but there are none in Cart, our ppl need work. Cart is closer, and longer ice free port. Cart saves the province money. Cartwright just makes sense.

@TW_GovNL GB 26% runtime, Cart 6%. Both road connected. Cart pax option to = driving to reach GB or NF. Pax be in GB in < time than sailing. Gulf ferries don’t go SJ and CB for a reason. Gov don’t sub boats by highways. Cart gives GB, NF, Straits = opportunity. 1/2

@thefutureyousee @Philipearle You realize that the mid season review was conducted after about 15 days of counting on Labrador's most southerly counted river? I wouldn't endorse that as a dynamic response by DFO. Sleep on that one and think about it.

Great year for Atlantic Salmon in Labrador! Even moreso when you factor in this is an understated count. Now we just need to figure out the real reasons why DFO is trying to shut down angling and a vibrant rural industry.

Mid season reviews that close or even threaten to close ourfitting industry such as ours that are having negligible effect on stock anyways do not make sense, ever. It kills the reputation of the destination and reliability of the industry. Where is your business sense?
