When Adam ate the fruit and God came to him, God found him hiding.
God asked, “Adam, where are you?”

Adam replied, “I heard You in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; so I hid.”
Then God asked him a powerful question:
“Who told you that you were naked?”

Numbers 13:33, when Moses sent spies to scout the Promised Land, they went and came back with a report. This is what they said:
“We saw the giants, the descendants of Anak… and we were like grasshoppers in our own eyes, and so we were in their eyes.”

Pause there. God did not call them grasshoppers.

God did not reduce them. God did not label them as small or weak. That description came from their own fear.

The pattern is the same in both stories. Adam hid because he accepted a voice that produced shame. The spies retreated because they accepted a voice that produced inferiority.

Never listen to a voice that makes you hide, shrink, or disqualify yourself. If it did not come from God. Fear always lies about who you are before it defeats you in life.

Before you step back, give up, or lose confidence, ask the same question God asked Adam:
Who told you?

God is good!

Many people may be interested in getting closer to God, but feel they have to get their life together first. But God wants to help you get your life together. He wants to do the healing, and the fixing, the uplifting, and the blessing. He wants us to come to him in the state you are. We have all sinned and come short of God's glory.

But in our low places, God is ready and able to give us his strength in our weak place. Just be honest with God where you are, and trust his love and might will bring you out of any dark situation. Please allow Jesus to do life with you.

2 Corinthians 12:9 KJV
[9] And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
[9] but He has said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you [My lovingkindness and My mercy are more than enough—always available—regardless of the situation]; for [My] power is being perfected [and is completed and shows itself most effectively] in [your] weakness.” Therefore, I will all the more gladly boast in my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ [may completely enfold me and] may dwell in me.

God is ready to hear you. God is ready to heal you. God is ready to bless you. God is ready to forgive you. No matter how dark, dire, embarrassing, or troubling the situation or circumstance, God is ready to turn it around for the better. He never fails. Jesus is only waiting for us.

The Morning Manna #40

You may remember times when you were at a work place, in a family, or a classroom, there was usually was a person who was the “favorite”. The person the boss seemed to like the most. The sibling who the parent seemed to like the most. The student who the teacher seemed to like the most. These bosses, parents, and teachers appreciated the whole group, but there were those who, for some reason, seemed to receive the favor of the leader.

There are two responses to this. If you were the person watching this favor, you could respond with jealousy or you would gravitate closer to that individual that you might get some of this favor. If you were the person receiving this favor, you could either become spoiled, or you can be humbled and honored to receive.

God’s grace is defined as the unmerited favor of God. It’s his favor that you can’t buy or earn. You receive it because God is good and is ready to love and bless his children because of his character. His only asks in return are for us to be in position to receive that favor by loving and obeying him, his word, his righteousness, while also loving others as we would ourselves.

If this favor is done correctly, you will be the ones who receive favor humbly, while those around you will want to gravitate closer to you and desire to get to know how they can be blessed like you.

And that, ladies and gentlemen, is how the kingdom of God grows. People will see the blessings of peace, joy, love, success, and patience given to “favorites”, and they will want be in position to learn more about the Jesus you know. Let's all strive to become "favorites" in God's eyes.

[8] And God is able to make all grace [every favor and earthly blessing] come in abundance to you, so that you may always [under all circumstances, regardless of the need] have complete sufficiency in everything [being completely self-sufficient in Him], and have an abundance for every good work and act of charity.

Have you ever tried to put together a product without following the instructions that came with that product? Things get very frustrating really fast. Easy too easy to make a wrong move, even if that move seemed right at the time.

The instruction manual for our lives is the words of the Bible. Written words of life inspired by our Creator to give us hope, clarity, direction, correction, and comfort. How to combat evil (Psalms 119:11), how to find the Kingdom of God (John 3:5), how to be a good spouse or parent (Colossians 3:18-20), etc. The answers are all there.

Just like you will eventually shrivel up and perish without regular food, people everywhere will spiritually perish with this spiritual food. It’s the daily bread. The words of God’s scripture gives your soul life.

It's my prayer that getting a piece of scripture daily, even if it’s through devotionals like these Morning Manna messages, get into your spirit so that God’s word can be an enlightening, informational, and inspirational. Make it your mission to not go a single day without at least a daily dose of scripture. Don’t go through life trying to operate without the manual.

There is a lot of talk about the stock market and the economy. The news is meant to send fear, worry, and uncertainty into the world, in which the enemy can thrive. However, God has a different set of rules in his economy.

A great story of God’s provision is a story in 2Kings:4 of a widow and her son who was in the countryside of ancient Israel during a nationwide famine. God’s prophet Elijah was instructed by God to go there and meet this woman to get meal for he was in the famine too. When he arrived at the home of this widow, he asked for meal. She stated she had one serving of four and oil left. Afterwards, she assumed her and her son would die of starvation. Elijah said God would bless her for her obedience making the bread for God’s servant, and that her flour and oil would never run out until God would send the rain and ended the famine. The flour and oil were supernaturally replenished every single day until the drought was over. Her needs were supernaturally met by God for being obedient, and she didn’t succumb to the economic hardship devouring the land.

There is story after story in the scriptures of God supernaturally supplying money, food, etc. to people in need. Psalm 37 says” I have never seen the righteous forsaken or their children begging bread.” God will supply all your needs according to his riches.

God honors your obedience and righteousness and putting him first in your life. Do that, and God’s word said you will lack for nothing. There is no better economic stimulus plan that fully living for God!

[19] But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

A squatter is an individual who occupies a property without permission. They feel confident that the owners are not around and there will be little chance of them getting removed. Sometimes they destroy the property. At other times they try and gain legal rights to the property to protect them from eviction. These squatters are thieves. They only need a way in to the property to start their mischief.

The squatters are like similar to devils and demons that try to take up residence in your life. They look for a way into your life, which is sin. They lay out trap of temptation to get you to sin. “A little lie won’t hurt anyone” or “no one will ever know” and similar traps. And if you get caught up and don’t repent, they now have a spiritual legal way into your life. They want to be squatters that to kill you relationship with God, steal your peace, and eventually destroy your life.

The good news is, you don’t have to put up with these spiritual squatters trying to ruin you. The Holy Spirit is ready to evict all evil squatters trying to come against you and steal from you.
Pray strong, confident, authoritative prayers to God and against the enemy that the enemy is no longer welcome. Get your joy back. Get your peace back. Resist the devil, and he will flee!

[10] The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life, and have it in abundance [to the full, till it overflows].

I respectfully disagree. I believe Scripture shows that the only two candidates qualify: Moses and Elijah, for 2 reasons.
#1 the miracle power they display in Revelations are exactly the same they displayed in the O.T.
#2 We were given a sneak preview of these two with the Transfiguration of Jesus in N.T.
