@GloamingMind @aclientfirst @kizzythechemist I think having views are important, and we aren’t blank sheets of paper. I’m on the left but I would never be an ideologue as some seem to be. You can’t say because someone has different views they shouldn’t be therapists. This is extremely authoritarian and should be challenged

Everything appalling that has happened, rapists in women’s prisons and in DV and rape crisis centres, on our hospital wards and in our lavatories and changing rooms, has happened on the Tories’ watch, but @UKLabour are *cheering it on*. They want more of it.
They can’t have my vote on moral grounds, either.

@UK_Counsellors While there are issues that need addressing. It’s worth noting the agenda of certain groups and some therapists who seem to have their own agenda, and they are very selective about democracy and transparency themselves

@UK_Counsellors The letter doesn’t say anything beyond veiled “concerns”. I don’t understand why they can’t be more specific. Moreover, some of the organizations posting this have their own agendas. There is also an irony as they prevent open debate on their own forums.

@UK_Counsellors @clareslaney The issue of some of the anti scoped forums is that they do exactly what they accuse the membership bodies of doing and that is close down debate and dissent while pretending to want discussion

@UK_Counsellors @BACP There was a clear majority as reported by NCPS. You can’t count the votes of those that didn’t cast a vote. I know it’s fashionable to deny a vote when it goes against you but a majority is a majority
