🇸🇩 BREAKING: At least 16 people were killed and dozens more wounded after UAE’s Rapid Support Forces (RSF) carried out a double-tap drone attack across multiple neighborhoods in the major Sudanese city of El Obeid early Thursday, according to medical officials cited by Sudan Tribune.

Witnesses said the attacks targeted two residential neighborhoods and areas surrounding the Sudanese army’s 5th Infantry Division headquarters. The first drone struck residential homes around 2:00 a.m., killing several civilians and causing extensive destruction. A second strike reportedly hit the same location minutes later as residents gathered to rescue survivors and evacuate the wounded, sharply increasing the casualty toll.

The attack comes amid reports of a major RSF military buildup around the strategic North Kordofan state capital, raising fears of an imminent ground offensive, the report says.
