When the Supreme Brooklyn store opened in 2017, I got a spot in line through their online entry two days before the opening.
I showed up at my time slot, waited in line for maybe 45 minutes, and purchased the store opening box logo t-shirt for $54.
Less than one hour later, I met up with a reseller at a nearby Starbucks and sold that t-shirt for $900 - a 1,567% return on my investment. For less than two hours of my life.
Resellers that evolved went from sneakers and streetwear to trading cards shamelessly. And it’s okay - sneaker culture knew what it was.
Resellers who don’t value their time or get information like the ones who showed up to this Swatch x Audemars Piguet release do not value their time and honestly, don’t understand how to do math.
Sadly, this is a sign of the times.
🚨PSA: black people wear the hats that match our clothes……
somebody yells “go yankees” or “big white sox fan?” at me once a week and i look around confused as hell
The ONLY explanation i got for the OKC whistle is that Silver is creating the villain for Wemby. A team that no one likes that he will beat on his way to a ring, becoming the face of the league and a fan favorite. No other possible reason to give a small market team this whistle
