@Ajarncom the city's bankrupt. But in any case, the New Street area has always been rough (i last lived there there in the early-mid 2000s), the redevelopment promised to change that but ultimately didn't. Covid hit the city hard too...doesnt seem to have recovered.
@SaksithCNA the fact that Khaosod English in particular thinks this story is worth a whole weekend's coverage is a real reminder of how far Thailand's (eng lang) media has regressed in the last decade....
@Ajarncom i still don't get why Thai shows can't seem to balance the macabre with levity. The dark stuff always has to be offset with slapstick nonsense- in this case, Jittri's team of ludicrous sidekicks. Other than that, a very good show.
@ThaiEnquirer is the building going to be preserved and protected or is the govt going to allow it to be demolished to make way for a condo or community mall?
@zaika_hl@AjiTae888 correct but it's a question of gradation. Do both countries lack free speech, yes. Do both countries lack free speech to the same degree? No.
@zaika_hl it's a common misnomer that VN has better coffee. It has more coffee sure. But 99% of people drink low quality robusta blends. Thailand came late to the game and now produces some of the best arabica in Asia.
