Creating alternative directions for Doctor Who storylines and series arcs! No hate here, just a healthy look at how episodes could pan out differently 💙💙
@_PigginTeaBreak This was one of my issues with the episode too, I had a go at how it could’ve been rewritten to make it less of an insult to music and actually represent the importance of it rather than saving the day with a basic major chord after a naff “music battle”
The Devil's Chord - Rewritten (A Thread)
I wanted to explore how this episode could play out if Maestro takes music away entirely, rather than in the original episode where they take only “good” music. 'I've Got A Dog' is still music, and is actually a banger tbf 😂
@_PigginTeaBreak@TharriesYT The lights going out could indicate the heart of the Tardis is leaving the ship and now is embodied within Billie Piper as has been pointed out by a comment on my post:
Billie Piper is not The Doctor. She is The Tardis!
- Rose was the last to look into the heart of the TARDIS
- When the TARDIS took on a humanoid form and spoke to the Doctor: “Hello Doctor, it’s so very very nice to meet you”
Billie Piper: “ Oh Hello”

@Quod_Matter This is a great idea, I would definitely have this title sequence in my reimagining of the Devil’s Chord, I feel that Maestro definitely should’ve taken all music not just made music bad.

@DoctorLuny@DiscipleOfBrad I think something like this would’ve had great emotional impact. Showing Maestro how music is linked to grief and love, their desire to own it was based on greed but because of all the doctor has lost he wins music back from Maestro and defeats them.
The Doctor plays a medley featuring themes of many past and lost companions and friends. (a more emotionally charged option than the original episode's music battle.) The Beatles join in too and this is what completes Maestro's demise.
See video for how this could work.
@DiscipleOfBrad The music battle is cool, but I wonder what it would’ve been like if The Doctor defeated Maestro with a demonstration of the link between music and grief, love, loss etc. Maestro’s greed had meant they had overlooked this and becomes their undoing.

@TrilbeeReviews Great video as always! Here’s my thoughts on how Rogue could’ve ended to create some hype leading into the two part finale and a bit of Ruby/Doctor conflict for character development: https://t.co/MIWqTex7Zi
Rogue - Rewritten… (a thread)
This was one of my favourite episodes of Ncuti Gatwa’s first season. However, I felt that there could’ve been a more impactful ending to create more hype leading into the two part finale. Read on to see my possible alternative ending…
… TARDIS lands in Carla’s apartment. Ruby storms out. The Doctor over hears a familiar voice on the TV, Susan Triad. “Today we make history, today everything changes”
The Doctor looks concerned, music intensifies, fast shots of Triad Technology ads around the world.

… Ruby demands that The Doctor takes her back home. A fallout/conflict between Doctor and companion that was missing from this series which has been so good with previous duos such as 9 and Rose (Father’s Day) 12 and Clara (Kill the Moon) 12 and Bill (Thin Ice)…
