@DreamingSpring@Fubgun This is a necessary path for any game IP to develop because there are only so many players who can handle those hardcore mechanics, punishing stats, and inconvenient gameplay
@DreamingSpring@Fubgun I think your mind isn’t very clear. I didn’t suggest anything; this is just what ggg is currently doing. They even admitted in media interviews that poe currently needs to attract new players, and the project team is constantly discussing how to modify the old modes. .
@Quantumgamer6@Fubgun But now PoE has to step out of that circle, because if they want more new players, they have to change the old mode that was only for a specific niche group. GGG has repeatedly emphasized in interviews that they're now questioning everything sacred from the past designs.
@Quantumgamer6@Fubgun That's right, this will definitely frustrate players who have already gotten used to the old PoE system. The old PoE was designed specifically for this type of hardcore player, and they were just a small minority of the entire player base.
@Fubgun enhancing storytelling and exploration, instead of just letting a tiny group of workaholics who spend 24 hour in the game make money off it. Exile needs to expand its IP and audience, or it will always remain a niche game for so-called hardcore players.
@Fubgun You guys are treating it like a job, which is why you think the rewards aren’t enough, because you’re thinking about it in a utilitarian way instead of a playful mindset. GGG’s approach is correct; they’re bringing Path of Exile back to its ARPG roots,
@pcgamer Actually, the key issue is how to make each season's battles feel fresher. We really do hope that every season can have completely new battles to experience. Repeating the same thing dozens of times, no matter how good it is, can get tiring.
