I agree .. food is culture .. losing it means losing who you are .. the elders carrying this knowledge deserve respect, not prison .. I hope they listen to the people
You basically have no freedom of speech, if they take away anything that has to do with your food sovereignty, it is OVER!
We have terrible set of leaders....their kids got dual citizenships don't forget!
University of Texas paper finds that handing small memory decisions to a fast scoring model let an AI memory system build its memory of long conversations 6.6 times faster
Many memory systems ask an LLM to make small choices, like what to link or when to stop searching.
Generating text for each choice is slow, and those calls pile up during memory building and search.
Jev-Mem gives those choices to a fast scorer, Jev, that returns probabilities in batches instead of text. The LLM is called only at the end, to read the chosen memories and answer.
On the LoCoMo long-conversation benchmark, it got a 0.777 answer score versus 0.700 for the best baseline. It built memory in 158 seconds versus 1,044 for the fastest rival and answered in 0.93 seconds versus 1.47.
If your memory pipeline calls an LLM for routing, scoring, or stopping, try a fast classifier there and save the LLM for answers.
NOTEBOOKLM + OBSIDIAN = 100 HOURS OF CONTENT IN 10 MINUTES
Google's free NotebookLM reads everything you feed it, and your Obsidian vault tells it what you already know
the extension that makes it work:
> "YouTube to NotebookLM" pulls a whole channel in at once
> every video lands as a source
> you get one structured summary in minutes
two features worth the setup on their own:
• Audio Overviews
> any PDF, report or note becomes a two-host podcast
> you learn on a walk or in the car
• the book filter
> upload your Obsidian vault plus a new book
> ask "is there anything new for me here?"
> if the answer is no, skip the book and keep the weekend

Want to experiment with local AI without setting up a backend?
FreeLattice is a local-first, open-source AI platform that runs in the browser from a single HTML file.
It helps you try chat, visual interaction, and local-model workflows without running a server by using IndexedDB for persistence and letting you connect Ollama from its settings.
Key features:
• Browser-first setup – launch it in the browser with no account or API key required
• Local model connection – connect Ollama for local vision and text models
• Persistent chat – conversation memory persists across sessions
• Chalkboard + Canvas – draw and co-create with AI vision models
• Built-in RAG search – search the project’s Core, Questions, Letters, and conversations for context
It’s open-source (MIT license).
