This weekend we had two of our amazing student-athletes, Tiffany Curry and Tiveopa Anthony, travel to Omaha, Nebraska to represent Team Texas in the Girls Folkstyle National Tournament. Both placed 5th in their respective weight classes and Team Texas took 1st place out of 41.
In the last 25 years, wages for college graduates have risen 28%. Wages for teachers during the same period, only 2%.
We’re calling on states and districts to increase teacher pay. It’s time our teachers saw the support and pay they deserve.
