for every service I use, I feel like I'm collecting referral codes.
So yesterday I decided to do a little learning and see what it takes now to set up a simple static site.
React, bootstrap, S3, CloudFront and NameCheap all used to create:

Got to love a vaguely threatening email from a package hosting service I used 5 years ago and mostly forgot about.
Seems they made a mistake back then and allowed free usage of a paid feature.
Site also doesn't seem to have a "delete my entire account please" button.
Finally got around to uploading the shoe rack brackets I designed earlier this year.
Our shoe pile is now organised and out of the way in an unused space under the stairs.

@LulaLeus I got the closest estimates for bathroom and kitchen completion from the flooring people.
They need to come in after the work is done, and have done so many floors across different builders, they know when they'll be needed.
Clear answers reduce cognitive overhead and make it easier to act on data. Your stakeholders don't always need all the details or nuance, but if they're asking for data help, they *do* need someone to synthesize a bunch of confusing, possibly contradictory data points
@ShellEnergyHome small bit of feedback. As a customer receiving an inbound call from Shell, I have to prove to you who I am but the customer service agent has no way of proving to me that the call is legit from Shell Energy. I wonder how this customer experience can be improved?
@LexusUK is this suitable for a 71 plate UX hybrid? We've had issues with low battery and would like a better solution than leave the car running once a week.

@TLRailUK Erf, at London bridge we were advised to get to Brighton by taking a local train to east Croydon, then a train to London Victoria then a train to Brighton.
So I said, uh, no, and took the underground to Victoria and got a Gatwick express ticket. Feels a bit bad in hindsight
This TRV compatibility guide from @tado is keeping me sane today as I try to replace a sticky TRV with one that won't fail after 3 years

We are looking for new colleagues to join our department (Computer Science @UoY_CS ) at the University of York, UK: https://t.co/Y13b594rBa
York is a beautiful city with lots of things to do and see, ducks and geese, and of course people in the department and the uni are fab :)
Spreading more childhood food memories.
Though my family used pork mince, not shoulder. Spread it on bread with American style mustard (the vinegar cuts the fat)

Was remembering some foraging I learned as a kid.
Nuts dropped from from "Shagbark" trees on the side of the road (aka hickory nuts) soaked in maple syrup from my cousin's trees next door.
Sometimes we picked up "pig nuts" by mistake and they were so bitter.
