I like that you're exposing the inefficiency of those in power. Situations like this should have no place in 2026. Doctors' strikes cause immense suffering,patients are left in pain, treatments are delayed, and lives can be lost. Any leader who allows such a crisis to drag on doesn't deserve the seat of power.

That said, I hope you won't resort to excuses when I point out that a similar situation occurred under Obi, and it took him 13 months to resolve the doctors' strike and get them back to work.

You're mixing two separate issues. If politicians are wasting public funds, hold them accountable, that doesn't mean students should be denied access to education financing.

We can demand an end to corruption while also supporting policies that help students stay in school. Unless you're proposing that students should drop out until every politician becomes honest, opposing student loans simply because politicians enjoy privileges doesn't solve the problem.

The real question is: how do we keep students in school while also demanding accountability from those in government.

The problem with many Obi supporters is that you always have a defence for everything Obi did, yet you harshly criticise the current government for doing similar things.

You claim that Obi's increase in school fees led to a better standard of education in Anambra than in my state. But what yardstick did you use to arrive at that conclusion when you don't even know which state I'm from?

Does the government have the fiscal capacity to fund every student's education entirely through grants year after year. Student loans are one way many countries expand access to higher education when resources are limited.

Also, why assume it has to be either loans or bursaries? Both can exist side by side. States government can continue awarding bursaries while the FG provides student loans for those who need it.

I understand that you feel compelled to criticise every policy of the current government because it helps promote your preferred candidate. But it's worth asking: how many grants did Peter Obi provide to students while he was governor? Didn't his administration also implement a school fee increase of about 140%?

The assumption behind your argument is that Nigeria's scarce resources cann only be invested in selected sector at a time.Why do govts allocate budgets across multiple sectors simultaneously?

Agriculture is important, but does that stop us from unlocking our vast untapped steel resources. Won't a functional steel industry support in the production of farm equipment , processing/ storage facilities used in the same agriculture? What about in manufacturing, construction, transportation and defence? And you still dont see iron/steel as one of Nigeria's critical sector?

Countries that have industrialised did not wait until agriculture was "completed" before developing their steel industries. They recognised that both sectors are complementary and pursued them in parallel. Don't you think Nigeria should do the same instead of treating iron/steel development as a distraction from agriculture just like your Obi is thinking.

Try thinking independently for yourself instead of automatically agreeing with everything Obi says. Just because Obi says something doesn't make it correct, and just because he's your presidential candidate doesn't mean you are not more intelligent than him

Were you receiving your bursary from the Federal Government? Wasn't it your state government that provided it? So, what is stopping state governments from continuing to pay bursaries?
It can hardly be a lack of funds, considering that states now receive more allocations than they did before.

Use everything to criticise to criticize the NELFUND loan, but not the inability of your state governors to continue providing bursaries to their students.

You're clearly unhappy that they're happy, simply because of your support for Obi. Would you rather they drop out of school instead of taking the loan? Or are you prepared to sponsor their education yourself?

If this loan had been introduced by Obi, you'd be all over the internet praising him for doing what no Nigerian politician had ever done.

Leave these students to celebrate their success. After all, you celebrated your own "injustice" when your name was replaced despite winning your party's primary election.

I agree that those currently in government are not doing enough to address the security situation.

However, defending Obi's "I'll be there in two days" statement doesn't make much sense. It suggests he has a simple solution to a complex problem without explaining what that solution is. He often says what people want to hear, but where is the practical plan?

If Obi is a good administrator like he always claims to be, why was he unable to resolve the doctors' strike in Anambra until after 13 months?

Stop using Obi as the benchmark for your thinking, you might actually be capable of thinking beyond his limitations.
