The entire tactical battle tonight will revolve around pressing: who presses better and who can build up more effectively under pressure.
We saw this in the PSG vs Man City game. In the first half, PSG pressed far better, City couldn't find a way through, and PSG played through City's press with ease. They completely dominated the game.
However, Maresca made major changes at half-time, bringing on substitutes and reshaping City's entire buildup structure. They looked much better after that and could've easily gotten back into the game with better finishing and without Donnarumma's mistake.
The problem was that it took Maresca an entire half to find a solution, and by then, it was too late. Flick needs to anticipate PSG's pressing patterns from the start and make sure we have the right structures and movements to play through them.
We have an entire half of Man City as a reference for us We should learn from it and not wait until half-time to make the necessary adjustments.
