The biggest reason why it's hard solve problems in modern Western society is it's been implicitly accepted that people's subjective feelings are MORE IMPORTANT than facts and reality.

We live in an EMOTIONS based culture and it prevents us from even discussing issues honestly.

But I guarantee they'll be better off in 10 years than they are now
