#CostOfLivingCrises in times of shortage we should ration our energy. Give everyone an energy allowance for basic human needs charged at a fair price and if anyone goes above their allowance, charge that at a higher rate. People who waste energy are the ones who should pay more!

@Mariach36014683@zoren74@joicereis_@lapatina_ Helping a nation protect itself shouldnโt โprovoke an occupationโ as TJ Coles suggests, itโs like a wife-beater saying to a beaten wife โnow look what you made me doโ. Zalensky is prepared to adopt neutral status in peace talks, but looks like Putin hasn't finished butchering yet
@Mariach36014683@zoren74@joicereis_@lapatina_ Under the Budapest Memorandum, Russia, US and UK all pledged to respect the independence and sovereignty of Ukraine if they disarmed their nuclear weapons and all agreed to protect Ukraine against aggression.
@Mariach36014683@zoren74@joicereis_@lapatina_ "weaponised against Russia"? Or anyone who invades them? These weapons are only used in Ukraine not in Russia. Ukraine are defending. it looks like their sovereignty needs defending. Putin has only proven why countries like Ukraine need to arm themselves
@Mariach36014683@zoren74@joicereis_@lapatina_ Meirsheimer sounds more balanced than Coles. Depends if you see NATO as an evil threat. UK might feel uncomfortable if US trained and bolstered French military, but it would be their prerogative and we would never invade them. Theyโre a sovereign nation and can do what they like.
@Mariach36014683@zoren74@joicereis_@lapatina_ Do you have link to other voices? There's a bit of jingoism yes, like everywhere, but they try to report both sides. They always interview Russian politicians and public. Russian TV only shows one narrative
@Mariach36014683@zoren74@joicereis_@lapatina_ "ignored by Western media" are you kidding me. Western media are relentless, they're like hound dogs. They criticise politicians constantly. They love nothing better than getting someone sacked. And they can write what they like as long as its not libel. Unlike some places
@Tudor24774574 @joicereis_@zoren74@lapatina_ That just about sums it up. If Russia was innocent you'd expect them to say something like. We will look into the evidence and bring any guilty people to justice but to deny everything before even considering any evidence..? That proves the instructions come from the top.
@jmjm003 @joicereis_@zoren74@lapatina_ Sometimes you can't win. Ukraine criticises US for not getting involved and Russia criticises you for getting involved too much
@Mariach36014683 @GeorgieBest20 @joicereis_@zoren74@lapatina_ It is often said that in many wars there are rogue units that commit war crimes. In the West the media has more eyes, there's nowhere to hide and more judicial paths to follow injustice. Russia denounce all these war crimes before even considering any evidence. That tells a story
@robbieedwards15 @imAnkurTandon @lapatina_ Nobody wants ww3 but the problem is if NATO openly says they won't get involved it encourages Putin to do what he wants. NATO rhetoric should be stronger to encourage more Russian protests. They may then take to the streets as stopping a war will be worth getting arrested for
