Here's one I've not shared before. 39 years ago today, Paris. He opened with Man Gave Names and closed with an apocalyptic yet somehow magnificent House of the Rising Sun, wrapping things up with the crowd pleaser that is Shot of Love. A remarkable night. One of my favorite shows ever. Total chaos.

I picked this up at the premier of Hearts of Fire. Interesting evening! Chatted with Robert Shelton.

He was surprised I recognized him. I told him a really enjoyed his book and we laughed about the speculation that Bob (who was in town) might show up for the premier. Like me he thought that very unlikely. He signed something for me and was very gracious. Clearly the version they showed that night was a rough cut with clumsy edits causing some of the audience to laugh out loud. Awkward….

Bob wrapped up a memorable tour across the US in Nashville last night. Jimmy Vaughan joined him in music city. The show goes on and on. Next stop Norway! Remarkable in every way.
