@ipaddockapps@fredweisg@KiddleBrad Our most fuel efficient and productive machines run adblue and have the same or less breakdowns than non adblue machines. Go figure
@Tomcurnow10 The custom harvester I worked for in the US had a canvas cover made that slipped over the top of the shuttle. Lived outside next to the fuel tanks
@brentmorton8@nig_michael No, we haven’t went down that road. The reason we make them to fit green only is we run JD and made our own, then the word spread
@Tedthekelpie@dustyfry1_fry@JamesHeggaton@pc602 Having a large quantity of PTO bins would be a logistical nightmare for us. Augers can be moved quickly behind a ute unlike a tractor. Have designated loading points for each block and it works well. Horses for courses.
@JamesHeggaton@pc602 Ah maybe if it’s dedicated just for moving grain and loading trucks. Haven’t had experience with bigger but high moisture grain is a struggle to start up with 11”
@nathansawyer94@JamesHeggaton Same as Nathan. Our supplier in Kalgoorlie follows the market close enough and let’s us know when they expect change. Been a good relationship with them so far....
@JhCarmody We like it, much better than previous records we kept through Apex. Not many benefits currently with the API with Deere, but more data sharing ability in the pipeline soon from what I hear
@JamesHeggaton@venningj I was on the harvest run in the US last year so I missed seeing them. From what Dad said, the driveline was durable, just have to get mill life/cost to a happy medium. Running 3 units so we’ll be doing more trials this year with different rotor/mill setups.
@venningj No, we only got them perfected for 70/S series Deere’s. We still have components to make more but we moved away from them to Seed Terminators last year.
@BigRedge81@lance123wise Easier said than done. Sometimes we’ve had no alternatives and had to run with a less than ideal employee. I know of plenty of others who’ve been in the same boat....
#AskTwitter After having yet another year with seeder operators giving their phones more attention than the job at hand, keen to hear what others do to resolve the problem. Surely we’re not the only ones with this issue...
