I said on my rapid reaction the noble thing for Greg Schiano to do is resign and let Rutgers rebuild. I know he’ll never let them off the hook financially but as much as he’s done for Rutgers over the years, the same is true for what Rutgers has done for him. Program is cooked.

If this outcome holds, I really don’t see how GS can survive the year. The season would be over before it even got started. How can you sell the program when you lose on opening night to a team that hasn’t won a game since October of 2024?

On its first drive of the season, the Rutgers defense gives up a 7-play, 75-yard touchdown drive capped off by a 21-yard touchdown pass.

Not a great start for those looking for big improvement from the Rutgers defense.
