@nighrix@k7ky0@astarinthesea_ Then in those countries it would likely be counted as fraud, maybe they could get hit with a rape charge too idk. Depends on the country I guess.
@notdrained@moidloser@SR01756576@astarinthesea_ Im actually deleting all my replies because after thinking about it, yeah that’s rape. Idk why I’m so argumentative sometimes lmao. I was also trying to be very technical and use the general definition of rape, but I knew that was dishonest since there’s different kinds of rape.
@GOWDIABLO@TRIPSTER0@Grummz In 2026, that’s not completely true. Satellite internet is an available option and it’s not priced much differently than Fiber, Cable, and DSL. Even in pretty rural areas, DSL is widely available. It’s garbage but it works.
@barthvader__@TRIPSTER0@Grummz The point of them changing their DRM policies is to fight piracy. Why else would a company do that? Do you think Sony wants to purposely piss off their fans?
@barthvader__@TRIPSTER0@Grummz I agree that’s what they should do at this point, but It should be obvious. I don’t know why Sony has to spell it out for everyone. Thats the whole point of DRM.
@Brev2034@macishish Then dont buy digital games then dumbass tf you want companies to do? Allow piracy? This is the only way for them to combat it effectively.
@Freethewzrd@Wayne7994294966 You still dont own the games you buy physically. You are buying a disc with a license key in it and a portion of the game’s files. Digital is just better. Way more convenient. You do you tho.
@GOWDIABLO@TRIPSTER0@Grummz Pretty different forcing an internet connection to use your console in 2014 vs forcing an internet connection every 30 days to play digital games bought on the internet in 2026 when practically everyone playing new game consoles have internet.
@E_G_Grandad@TRIPSTER0@Grummz The Xbox One was going to force online check ins every single day or you can’t play the console at all in 2014. Very different from Sony requiring a game license check in every 30 days for digital games in 2026. Way more people have internet now.
@barthvader__@TRIPSTER0@Grummz You can’t even be mad at Sony. It’s 2026. Almost everyone has access to internet or a hotspot. They just want to prevent piracy. This won’t even affect like 99.9% of PlayStation users.
