I don’t want to live in the timeline where corporate greed wins and we eventually just accept it.

If the future of PlayStation means removing physical media and taking away that choice permanently, then I’m walking away. I won’t buy the PS6. I’ll miss the exclusives. I’ll miss the games. But I don’t want to contribute to a future where companies can remove consumer choice simply because they’re big enough to do it.

I know I’m only one person. But every choice matters.

I don’t want to look back years from now and say we lost something we loved because we all assumed someone else would stand up.

If we want things to change, we have to be willing to make choices that reflect that.

More reports why Sony is trying to end physical discs:

- They want to cut out the middle man, to make more profit per sale (like remove walmart cuts etc)
- Sony thinks the fanbase will not switch platforms, they can do what they please without losing fans
- They are convinced by ignoring this issue, they fans will just accept the changes and convert to 100% digital with time.
- Sony thinks they are "too big to have commination with fans". Talking to fans has no margin benefit, so they refuse to address fans and will keep doing so

I have lost all trust and goodwill with PlayStation, no words what is happening right now. Horrible company

For the thousands of people saying they want physical media, cancelling their PlayStation accounts, telling Sony to go to hell, etc, I hope you all mean it when you say, I'm never going back. Because Sony are just waiting for this to blow over and expect you all to come crawling back. If you really mean what you say and really want to make a difference, it is imperative you stick to your word, or Sony will win in the end.
