The devs are not touching Toriyama’s design. You people are high if you believe they will, and extremely disrespectful if you want them to. The design looks fine. Is it Toriyama’s best? Obviously not. But it’s good. As usual people on Twitter are raging over nothing.

I think all the hate for Dragon Quest XII's Main Protag design is a knee jerk reaction and over the top but, I don't disagree that it's not great. I think the negative feedback can cause the dev's to cook even harder with his design which is a good thing.

I will say, there's a number of protag's that I thought looked horrible upon first glance and then they ended up growing on me tremendously. Dmitri from fire emblem looked mid af before the time skip and story development combined.

Hell in fact, Zidane was god awful at a glance and now til this day, he's still one of my favorite protag's of all time.

Moral of the story: Sometimes the story playthrough will change your entire outlook on a character design but without that context, it just looks ass lol.

I’ve seen enough. Kamen Rider Black RX is better than Black. It has more multi episode story arcs, better characters, and has great comedy. I truly wasn’t expecting to love this show so much.
