@outsidemagazine To add to this I am an ultra distance trail runner and at the last 65km mountain trail race I did I stopped picked up every piece of litter on the trails that I came across. It was not litter from the runners in front of me it was from hikers and day trippers as I was 9th

@outsidemagazine Yes there is litter that sometimes falls out but no matter what sport you do it happens, whether you are a mountain biker, hiker, skier ect. The motto for the trail running community is go in to the wilderness and only leave your footprints behind and the trail cleener
