This month’s prayer intention is that sports may be an instrument of peace, encounter, and dialogue among cultures and nations. May sports promote values such as respect, solidarity, and personal growth. Take a moment. Let us #PrayTogether, at https://t.co/S3TtsnB6oT
"I hope the word SpaceX makes people look up at the stars and want to go there." @Gwynne_Shotwell, President and COO of @SpaceX, shares with Nasdaq the mission, vision and why taking risks matters.
We can experience joy in difficult circumstances only if our lives are rooted in a relationship with God as a loving Father. Only God's love can give us true and perfect joy. If we are deeply convinced that God cares for us as His beloved children, we will not be confused or discouraged, even in the midst of hardship. https://t.co/duKCEN0LpU
I welcome with satisfaction the reaching of an agreement between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the United States of America, which will be signed on Friday, as an encouraging result of patient work in dialogue and negotiation. I express my gratitude to the countries that have worked to facilitate a meeting between the parties and to make this agreement possible. I hope that the agreement may help strengthen mutual trust, security, and stability in the Middle East, promoting paths of dialogue and cooperation among peoples. #Peace
"God is love, and whoever remains in love remains in God and God in him” (1 Jn 4:16). This is the heart of the Gospel, the heart of Christ. Whoever immerses themselves in it no longer lives for themselves. I give thanks for the abundant witnesses of faith and charity I have experienced on this #ApostolicJourney to #Spain.
The beauty of the Basilica of the Sagrada Familia inspires us to learn ever more from our Master and Lord the art of living according to His Gospel. As we lift our gaze toward Him, the Crucified and Risen One, let us commit ourselves to lift up those who lie in the dust (cf. 1 Sam 2:8). Let us show in this way that the Sagrada Familia is the tallest church in the world, not so as to stand out in worldly rankings, but rather to guide the steps of the people of God, with the Cross illuminating their path, like a lamp burning brightly as we await the return of the Bridegroom. #ApostolicJourney #Spain

Let us ask Mary, Queen of Peace, to teach us to renounce hurtful words, hasty judgment, gossip, and slander. May we learn to cherish and nurture love within our families, among friends, in the workplace, on social media, in political debates, and in Christian communities, so that hatred may give way to hope and peace. #ApostolicJourney
The goodness of even a few people can overcome the fear of many. We must be like an open Bible for everyone. May others encounter the Word of God in our faces and lives. Love is the language that makes everyone feel at home. #ApostolicJourney
Selflessness is like leaven that makes the human, ethical, and spiritual dimensions of society grow, and it is a distinctive element of the “City of God.” In a world constantly influenced by a logic of self-interest and profit, where the term “growth” is reduced to the economic-financial sense, it is important to think and live according to a more authentic mentality that leads to integral human development. #ApostolicJourney

In a world torn apart by wars and divisions, in a society that is increasingly fragmented and individualistic, we wish to be witnesses and prophets of unity, welcome, harmony, and peace, even at the cost of sacrifice and renunciation. We wish to offer our “yes,” ready if necessary to die to ourselves, to lose ourselves in order to find ourselves again, to renounce the superfluous in order to build upon what is essential and lasts forever (Mt 16:24–26). #ApostolicJourney
When we learn to pause and value what is important, appreciate time in a new way, and reflect on their own lives while allowing ourselves to be enlightened by the Gospel, we also develop a critical perspective on a social system that does not put people first and creates situations of injustice and existential poverty at various levels. That is why restlessness is frightening, as is the discovery of one's inner self, of spirituality and, even more so, of the Gospel. #ApostolicJourney

At times we experience the night of faith, the weariness of believing, the fatigue of the spirit, a sense of inadequacy in the face of the Gospel’s call, the bitterness of our failures. These nights are a time of blessing and a place for rebirth. #ApostolicJourney
