@Booklist_Audio Heather, I did a ton of audio-specific RA in my previous job, but I just took a new position where I’m doing a lot more backend/info management work. I’m happy to talk to you about audio RA if you’re still interested, but I thought I’d let you know that I’m not doing any now.
There looks to be a new wave of misinformation that has rolled in after Montanans rejected #LR131. To recap: LR-131 was an unnecessary proposal to force health care providers to perform futile procedures on nonviable infants, even against medical ethics and the parents' wishes.
@Retroition Would the Flavia de Luce books by Alan Bradley appeal? They’re more classic mystery than thriller, but they’re very smartly written and a lot of fun.
My response to @CDCDirector.
After nearly 3 years, I am beyond stunned at your recent Tweet...talks about washing hands and doesn't say a word about masks or cleaning indoor air. This has led me (as a member of four scientific academies) (1/)
In honor of spooky season, I thought I’d tell y’all about the *creepiest* basement I have ever been in.
Sadly, I do not have pictures, so you’ll just have to use your imaginations.
I CAN'T BELIEVE that Lizzo pulled James Madison's crystal flute out of a stone and is now the president!!! That is a marginally less democratic process than the electoral college!!!!
@stiricide@Retroition Thank you for recommending these. I just haven’t been able to think of anyone who seemed quite right. Although the first person I thought of was George Orwell because of how he wrote about his experiences and travel.
@jonforoli They were photographed by a Seattle hobby photographer who attended the concert and later donated to the arts archive I was working at for digitization.
Sometimes metadata tagging for a contemporary arts archive involves looking up obscure art terms for experimental sculpture pieces. Sometimes it involves looking at rarely seen photos of Nirvana at Seattle Sub Pop shows in the late '80s.
Today had a little of both.
