Jujutsu Kaisen is a curious case.
Online discourse will have you believe it sucks but everytime you actually sit down and watch, it's one of the most exciting battle shonen in recent times
Lol they even said the open matchmaking would be the "Standard" for launch but now we have a whole playlist called "Standard" with strict sbmm and its the very first playlist available when you go to queue. What a joke
Vast majority of my lobbies have people with a nuke calling card, master killer, etc on launch weekend lmao this is not a natural distribution of players
We've been keeping an eye on Multiplayer matchmaking conversations and want to assure everyone of a few things:
➡️ All of our Open Playlists use Open Matchmaking and Persistent Lobbies and we remain committed to that approach.
➡️ Quick Play uses the same Open Matchmaking, where skill is minimally considered.
➡️ The combination of Quick Play and Persistent Lobbies is new and presents unique interactions that we are monitoring to improve over time.
Speaking of Quick Play: if you’ve seen some of your selections occasionally overridden when playing, we've deployed a fix for that today.
So apparently, not only did the Hornets know about the FBI investigation prior to the trade, the NBA itself knew, conducted their own investigation and shut Terry down for the remainder of the season in CHA, then withheld the information from the Heat in what can only be described as a coverup.
Looking more and more likely for us to either get our pick back, or some other sort of compensation. The NBA either acted with complete negligence for integrity, or actively engaged in a coverup, either way, Miami was the one who suffered from this ordeal, and deserves to be fairly reimbursed.
This isn’t the first time the league treated Miami unfairly, the latest example is when Dame asked to be traded to the Heat, a league-wide memo was issued prohibiting Dame from making team-specific trade requests. Just last year Jimmy Butler forced his way out of Miami, with what was initially a 1-Team list of the Suns. No memos issued, no fines set by the league. Reports of Jimmy and his camp calling other teams warning them not to trade for him have been confirmed and the league did absolutely nothing to stop this.
Adam Silver and friends have proven time and time again that he has chosen favorites and whether that be rich owners subverting the salary cap or joyless players forcing themselves to or from Miami, it’s hard for a Miami fan to see what’s happened and to feel like this league has any integrity towards the Heat.
@RuggedTheDragon 2014 was AW, you know the game that was controversial for implementing sbmm? You're literally not even reading my replies retard. Also just proved yourself wrong that ping WASNT king with sbmm if average connection was worse. What can I expect from arguing with a furry tho ig
@RuggedTheDragon Once again, YOU can personally verify the matchmaking system via reverse boosting. Theres a reason terms such as reverse boost, sbmm, god account, etc were virtually non existent pre-AW. Even the bo7 beta had verifiable differences in average ping and queue time between playlists
@RuggedTheDragon Maybe you should actually read the paper I mentioned before making statements about it lmao. As far as mw19, again read the paper they literally explain the matchmaking process. Also it was very easy to test the system via reverse boosting (it cared about your ~5 last games btw)
@RuggedTheDragon@JakeHaleee Dog they literally published a whole ass paper explaining the sbmm system and providing their reasoning for having such strict matchmaking lol. Sbmm wasn't even a term people used before AW, also there's multiple examples showing how the mw19 system manipulated matchmaking

People are acting like this would be a massive overpay but are conveniently forgetting that modern supermax deals are around $70m a year lol. 24-5-5 on ok efficiency is about what you're gonna get for this salary around the league these days. This is literally Fred VanVleet money
