I was able to sneak away during a Telus Cup intermission and chat with Broncos board chair Trent McCleary. Here is the article by @dzammit2 and my chat with Trent.

@shawnmullin Most impressive one I’ve seen is only 2 of the 8 teams with a positive goal differential. Vegas at +2 and Edmonton at +1. Wonder what the odds at the start of a season for an 8 team division all finishing with minus goal differentials is.

Gull Lake’s Berney Weston made 29 saves for his first @TheWHL win as the @SCBroncos rallied past the Saskatoon Blades 4-3 in OT. Three of Weston’s Swift Current Minor Hockey teammates provided offence, combining for two goals and four points in the win. https://t.co/YsapBVXQKK
Perfect season capped with a championship. Special run for the @NotShaunyBadger. 🦡 🏆

@Mike_Leach1976 I disagree. MLSE has created a disconnect with its fan base, and for Leafs fans it’s at a tipping point. The team should be contending, yet they’re underachieving and Pelley & Co. seem to be dodging the media. Unfortunate it comes at TFC’s expense, but MLSE deserves the heat.
The Gull Lake Falcons are first ever Steffes Cup champions. They beat Dalmeny to win the inaugural Saskatchewan Senior Women’s Hockey League Championship. Very cool to see the growth of women’s hockey! Lots of talent from the southwest. We had it on CKSW.

@BoneCrushers98@bmbell71@ProducerDrew_ It will depend on how much longer Kane plays. But currently Matthews’ would easily hit 1375 point mark. Only would have to average 60-points for 10 seasons. Still has about 3-4 more in his prime he should rack up at least a point a game.
@CD5362482688662@DunkGwcdunk@mikethefanatic Between 2001-09 Kaberle appeared in four all-star games and received Norris votes in four seasons as well. Yes he’s not a hall of fame, but he was a legit 1 A/B guy for most of that decade. No idea on the goalie front.
@CD5362482688662@DunkGwcdunk@mikethefanatic Dubas certainly had some blunders but let’s use correct information here. He traded a third rounder for Rittich. He trade Mrazek and a 1st which was the 25th overall for a 2nd rounder which was 38th overall which he used to select Fraser Minten.
@milosraonic Thank you for introducing me to the sport in 2013 with your compelling run at the Rogers Cup. That captivated my interest in tennis and had me watching your matches at all hours of the day. I wish you the best in your retirement — you’re a true Canadian legend and trailblazer.
@PeterKneulman Not a starter but an important insurance option in 2010-11 for Owen Sound, Michael Zador. With Stajcer hurt and Binnington only 17, they acquired Zador from Oshawa and he was solid for the Attack, playing 20 games, including seven playoff games, 4-0 with a 2.13 GAA, .927 SV%.
@Quinlan91@GregCowanST He’s never really gone all in. After the 16-17 conference finals run, he only added James. The next year, he refused to get a goalie, added McKenzie and Lyle, and they fell short in the second round. In the championship year, he didn’t add much beyond Gilbert and Zador.
