“ Ask and keep on asking and it will be given to you; seek and keep on seeking and you will find; knock and keep on knocking and the door will be opened to you.
Matthew 7:7 AMP
Love your wife the way a mother loves her little one.
Be obsessed with her joy in a way that makes you her favourite place.
Consider her frailties and weaknesses and treat her so tenderly that she feels safe around you.
Pour yourself into her not because she's the best behaved or the least problematic, but because she is yours, your own wife.
Love her better than you love yourself because God has placed you as her head to nurture her into her best version.
If your husband is ruining people's lives with manipulative ministry and using the pulpit to serve his lusts and lead people astray,
But you're enjoying the Mummy G.O spotlight, so you practice "table manners" and smile through the wickedness,
I just want to tell you that Jesus will not spare you in the day of Judgement.
Since you love your husband and your prestige more than your Lord and His mission, you will partake in the judgment of the wicked.
Making content out of intimacies like Prayer is such a silly way to reward yourself.
We cannot be pregnant with Divine possibilities when our most intimate moments with God are deliberately publicised to earn applause from fans of spiritual theatrics.
Again, learn to do without everything and everyone in your regular devotion.
In your struggling moments, take advantage of a few reasonable atmospheres to Jump-start your prayer batteries, but do your best to return to a place where you will be truly alone with God.
The bondage of self-obsession is so miserably subtle.
People think they are free because they live to please themselves, rave about themselves and hype themselves.
Meanwhile, that kind of life is just a decorated prison that keeps a life veiled from the true glory that comes with being useful for God and obsessed with His Kingdom.
If people really began to live as faithful and fervent Christians, even their churches would find them weird and strange.
Unfortunately, what we have become used to today as normal Christianity is so fitting and compatible with the world that it doesn't even irritate or disrupt demons.
When you read through the Psalms, one thing is clear, God was real to David. In easy times and in tough times, the question for David was never if God existed or not. It was whether God was with Him or not, whether God was happy with Him or not.
The interesting part is that all that David had that gave him this level of trust is the same that we have, that is, the scriptures (Moses) and the workings of God in his life (providence). In fact, we even now have the full prophets, the ressurection documented by multiple witnesses, and the Apostles.
How are we so blind? Why are our prayers not like the Psalms? Shall His judgement not be just if we deny Him?
PSam.
Sometimes we have not overcome our besseting sins because we have fallen in love with them.
We fall in love with them because we enjoy them too much. The pleasures of our sin are just enough to distract us from thinking about the wickedness of what we have done or God's hatred for evil and its consequences.
Thus, we need faith to grow in sanctification. We need a kind of faith that trusts God to provide sweeter pleasures than that of our besetting sin so that we may more easily let go of them.
Do you believe in God's power? Do you believe God can satisfy you more than pornography and money made from greed? Do you believe that God's presence can give you more joy than fame and fornication? Can you accept that you are losing your sin to gain something better?
If you don't trust God for better pleasures, your broken soul will keep feeling like it is losing something by letting go of its sin when it is actually gaining so much more.
That feeling of loss is why many cannot stop doing evil. The grief of relinquishing the pleasure of that nasty habit keeps many in the habit.
To everyone who came down from outside Ibadan to attend the convention, we pray that the Lord of Hosts takes you safely to your respective abodes. Have a safe journey back home❤️.
